Jill Sobule kisses a girl way better than Katy Perry ever could!

by Bree Davies October 10, 2009

Long before Katy Perry sang about kissing a girl, Jill Sobule did so in 1995, snuggling with a Lego-haired sweetheart in her video for “I Kissed A Girl.” While neither Perry nor Sobule actually kiss girls in their videos, Perry’s debaucherous evening entails writhing in pile of hot chicks before waking up from the dream next to her boyfriend, and Sobule’s involves sleeping with Fabio, while she fantasizes about fondling Tupperware with a secret lady. Sobule will visit her hometown on Nov. 27 with a show at the Walnut Room, and Perry can soon be seen getting all up on our local honeys 3OH!3 in a video for the duo’s latest single, “Starstrukk,” which was filmed in Los Angeles in September.

The weekly vid pick: We enjoyed Beavis & Butt-head’s version of Jill Sobule’s “I Kissed A Girl” better than the original—for obvious reasons.
