Brigitte DeMeyer & Will Kimbrough
Will Kimbrough and Brigitte DeMeyer very generously offer their audiences the ultimate singer/songwriter experience. Those of you who were lucky enough to hear them at Hopmonk a few years ago remember. Their music is pure Americana—authentic, soulful and honest to the core. In 2014, Will and Brigitte released a critically acclaimed, collaborative album, Savannah Road. Now, a few years later we have the great fortune to celebrate the January 2017 release of Brigitte and Will: Mockingbird Soul. It is going to be quite an evening—an exciting and intimate one!
With honey-sweet vocals and a soft hum that speaks to an older time, Erisy Watt has cultivated a sound of simplicity, a synthesis of soul and folk that is freshly her own. Joined by bassist and vocalist, Rafaell Rozendo, and guitarist, Jeremy Ferrara, Watt delivers every sound, song, and story with joy and ease.
Raised in Nashville, TN yet based in Santa Barbara, CA, Watt and her bandmates draw inspiration from a shared love of adventure and community. With effortless harmonies, delightful guitar licks, hearty bass rhythms, and the occasional whistle, their musicianship, as well as friendship, is undeniable.
In 2014, Watt founded the Cabin by the Sea Series as a way to intertwine her deep reverence for live music and passion for positive community action. A traveling concert series that raises funds and awareness for local organizations, Cabin by the Sea has raised over $6,000 for area nonprofits and musicians since its founding and continues to bring the community together to groove, give back, and gain awareness.
Recently, Watt along with Rozendo and Ferrara released their first self-titled EP and are gearing up for a cross-country tour this summer. For them, music and Cabin by the Sea are all about "giving back and building community, and from their offstage involvements in organizations such as Coalition for Sustainable Transportation, Wildlands Studies, and Bici Centro, it’s clear they are proactive people who suffuse their whole lives with purpose, passion, and positivity."
