Trout Steak Revival
Trout Steak Revival was conceived on the shores of a secret mountain lake in the Sawatch Mountain Range of Colorado. A group of free spirited individuals gathered there during the summer of 2008 to celebrate the essence of life in the mountains. Though it rained steadily for days on end, quelling the feeding Rainbows and Brookies and soaking the surrounding landscape, the group stayed positive by singing songs, telling stories, and enjoying the ethereal solitude of the misty high country. What emerged from this experience was a vision of a non-existent mountain sound. Trout Steak Revival’s pursuit to animate this vision is transposed into each performance, as Kirk, Casey, Will, and Steve meld into a vaporous expression of what could be. Love, generosity, and grace are cornerstones of TSR, inflected in a vision of bluegrass inspired mountain music.
