- kosmøs spent two years recording their debut album Ways of Letting Go at Maximum-Joy Studios (formerly Avalanche) in Denver. Famous for its drum sound, the facility has been host to bands like INXS, The Pretenders. Kenny Loggins and The Rolling Stones. During the recording of kosmos’ album, members of the band had a running joke of playing or singing riffs from Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” during line checks.
- Founding members Ben and Tim Tonak are originally from Wyoming, where their mother taught music in public schools for over 30 years. Both rebelled against piano lessons and regret it to this day.
