Jason Vigil

Singer/songwriter Jason Vigil has quite the buzz going in his hometown of Denver since the release of his debut album, Heart Gone Sober. A sold out CD release party at The Walnut Room in Denver, positive reviews on the album, and intense live performances from Vigil’s band, have eyes opening on both a local and national level. Two of the songs from Heart Gone Sober, ""Need Your Space"", and ""You I’m Thinking"" have been programmed into regular rotation on KQMT 99.5 The Mountain, and Vigil’s music is also enjoying airplay on 99.9 The Point in Fort Collins, and 93.3 KTCL in Denver, and 89.7 KEPC in Colorado Springs. Vigil’s band won first place in the BODOG battle of the bands’ first and second rounds, and Vigil took second place in the regional finals held at a sold out Gothic Theater in Englewood, CO. In 2005, Scene Magazine named Jason and his lineup the best band in Northern Colorado. Like a story understood by all, Heart Gone Sober, delves deep into the life of a bleeding heart. Vigil’s unique songs that blend alternative, pop, and rock reflect and reveal that, with time, a person can sober up from substances, relationships or even life itself, and find direction. His musical style has been compared to Matchbox 20, Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World, and Jeff Buckley. He emanates powerful hooks with a smooth, passionate manner and flowing energy, with or without his band. Heart Gone Sober, was recently added to Alternative Addiction (www.alternativeaddiction.com) as one of the top 10 unsigned bands, and his song ""You I’m Thinking"" was placed on Mike Galaxy’s (www.bandpromote.com) February industry sampler. With a national level recording, industry interest, and secure presence within his hometown region, Vigil definitely seems to have all the pieces in place to break to the next level.
