Mixing elements of Alternative, Jazz, and Latin, singer-songwriter J.Russo croons his way through catchy melodies and introspective lyrics. Within his style of Acoustic/Indie/Lounge, a unique blend of influences can be heard: Paolo Conte, Tom Waits, Frank Sinatra, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Beck, and Radiohead, to name a few.

“I grew up playing and listening to Jazz, as well as some Classical, Top 40, Hip-Hop, and Alternative. So you can definitely hear those influences in my music. My goal lately has been to mix my Jazz/Latin and Alternative influences together. But of course, you can’t force the music out — it just has to come naturally.”

For the past 3 summers, J.Russo has consistently performed at the Boulder Outdoor Cinema, entertaining audiences with his music. He has also played in Denver at Scruffy Murphy’s, The Mercury Cafe, and Studio 554/The Atrium. Having spent the last year and a half writing and recording in the studio, he is now actively playing around town and promoting his new self-titled album.
