In Better senses is an electronica band from Denver, Colorado, formed in 2006 by Daniel Watts and Stuart Mizrahi. Influenced by techno, industrial, IDM, and trip-hop, In Better Senses indy-electronic style combines layers of electronic composition with live percussion, guitar and keyboards to create a dynamic energy which resonates in both their studio recordings and live performance.

Long-time friends and collaborators Stuart Mizrahi and Daniel Watts began In Better Senses as a platform to expand on more complex and melody driven themes than with their previously accomplished dark-ambient band The Hypnogogic Orchestra. Working towards a more robust, cohesive and powerful form of expression, the band began performing in late 2006. Quickly gaining ground in the underground electronic scene of Denver, aided by numerous live performances on local Colorado radio stations KGNU and Radio 1190, In Better senses were asked to perform with David Thrussell (of Snog) and his solo project Blacklung in late 2006. Over the next couple years In Better Senses continued to perform with many local alternative electronic artists, including an appearance at the second annual Transistor Festival, and worked in the studio producing their debut full-length album How To Feel Like Yourself released by Denver’s free-music label SOF Records in May of 2009.

Denver area musician Nathan Jamiel joined the group in early 2009 performing with the band at an extremely rare appearance by seminal electronic artist Phil Western (of Skinny Puppy, Download, Plateau, Kone, Behatch), from which a live EP In Better Senses Live at Kazmos was released in November 2009 by SOF Records.

Currently the band performs regularly around the Denver area, recently appearing at the Fourth Annual Transistor Festival, and is recording their second full length album due out in early 2011.
