My DeeJay name is spelled DJ KAAOS (in all caps/copywriten and reserved))…. First and most important to me in life is that I’m a family man. I have a beautiful wife and 7 year old daughter named Emma. Music and anything else in life is secondary and takes a back seat. So, secondly in the back seat, I’m a party rockin’ DeeJay spinning groovy/uptempo music from the old school Hip Hop and Underground Hip Hop scene, along with some experimental trax that’ll blow your mind and keep you movin’. I’M NOT A COMPETITION, or ROUTINE/TRICK-BATTLE DeeJay. I’m a no-request, mix and scratch DeeJay rockin’ the place with all of the illest Hip Hop keeping the party rockin’ all night WITHOUT THE TOP 40 BULLSHIT (see influences for a listing of artists you’ll catch me spinning) !! I started dabling in turntablism in late 2005 desiring to be a DeeJay in a rock band and have since taken it to exactly where I wanted to be today. Very recently, I’ve stepped away from the band scene for good where I had an incredible run RAWKIN’ with many awesome bands here in Denver, which included spending time with Boondok Saints, Rhythm Vision and The Flash Mob along with many sit in’s with other bands and artists live on stage or recording on their projects throwin’ down some scratch for them. Now that I’ve stepped away from the band scene I can focus on playing more DeeJay shows, which is my passion and love for DeeJay’ing. I DeeJay at concert venues, underground night clubs and have established a large following in the ski resort night club scene and college nightclub/lounge scene. I also spin occasionally live on college radio AM 1190 Basementalism Radio out of Boulder, Colorado and World Wide. You will not only be able to catch me spinning as a solo DeeJay act, but I’ll also be spinning records in my new project, M.F. KAAOS, where I get to spin records with a live drummer, Matt Fink (M.F.) who also happens to be my Bro In Law and the drummer for The Flash Mob.
