Denver Nuggets
Founded in 1967 the Denver Nuggets were originally known as the Denver Rockets from 1967-74 and played in the American Basketball Association. By the end of 1974 the team changed their name to the Denver Nuggets in 1974, and kept the name when the team merged with the NBA in 1976. To this day, the Denver Nuggets always pose a threat in the NBA and actually make it to the playoffs.
