We stand for art for all. Art benefits everyone. In fact, the best ways to provide lasting relief to many communities — both rich and poor — is through the encouragement of local art, design, music, theater, writing, dance, and film.
We need art now.
We can’t afford to lose many more jobs. Our creative sector is one of Denver’s biggest, and one of the few that created jobs last year.
This is news to some people. However, we simply do not want to see what happens when we lose this valuable, sustainable, natural export: art. As it happens, the best way to provide relief to communities is often through sustainable arts programs:
- Developing sustainable community education in the arts
- Creating open public marketplaces to encourage local creative economies to flourish
- Protecting every individual’s and family’s right to preserve their cultural heritage
- Strengthening Denver’s art leadership to build markets abroad and export Denver art.
“Art for all” means everyone deserves the benefits the arts can promise. We are stronger together — and the arts unite us.
