The band was started when front man Dylan Busby started to create what he thought would be a solo album. While working on the album Dylan was able to work some of the best musicians from Denver. So, with the help of them you are brought DB and the Catastrophe. The album is to be released on signal, but first the CD sampler. The album, which has yet to be named, was produced by Ed Edwards of Summit Road Studio. The audio was ran through an SSL board, and various analog lunch boxes. DB owes a lot of the artist flare to Ed Edwards. The band is now focused on playing live shows and marketing themselves. They are counting on YOU the fan to use the word of mouth to spread the news of DB and the Catastrophe. DB is not focused on a single area of music. What you will hear on the album are songs that DB wrote just starting out with his first band The Matters. Some of it is from the second band he worked with, Skimatic. But most of the music was written in a time period where DB wasn’t playing with a band. This time period DB found himself as an artist who didn’t want to be tied down to one certain genre and he decided that what ever came out of his head, was just going to come out. DB works with some of the best guys ever. Jim Fierro rocking the drums on the album. Adam Merki who plays bass on the album. Tyler McGoffin, McG, who played the trumpet on the album and plays guitar, trumpet, and sings background vocals live. Ben Duncan on drums for the live band. Also Ricky Brown playing the bass for the live crowds. These musicians have been hand picked for the best outcome.
