Calliope Of The Future
Calliope of the Future is the seven year love project of former circus
performer and visual artist Tovio Roberts. In various iterations and
lineups, Calliope has toured extensively in Europe and the USA, often
on bicycle or hitchhiking, playing in squats, forest occupations,
protest sites, diy venues, festivals and more traditional venues. The
music ranges from Jacques Brel-esque songs of Nikolai Tesla to
transparently vulnerable lyricism over accordion, metallophone,
mandolin and various other instruments. Currently Calliope of the
Future is based in Denver and recording extensively.
