Andy Ard
Andy Ard makes music for people who want to be happier, including himself. Steeped in a wide range of influences, his output ranges from jangly folk rock to more soulful tunes, depending on his mood, the accompaniment and the venue. He’s also composed music for independent films and the White House Historical Association, so it gets a bit difficult to pin down. Any given night, though, Andy may be found singing to a crowd of dozens or hundreds with great enthusiasm. He has been nominated for a Westword Singer/Songwriter award (2001) and was a finalist in the Durango Songwriter’s Expo song contest (2009), showcasing at the event multiple times.
