A-Club

A-Club is an 7 member Hip-Hop group based in Denver, Colorado and Greensboro, North Carolina. Formed in 2002, A-Club began as a four member crew (Skhyzo, J-Smizz, Poetic THC and Nomad) who went by the name “Ashey Elbows” until the release of their debut album “A-Club Walk” (2005). Received very well for a local group, A-Club continued to make music, growing stronger both production wise and as lyricists. A very accomplished and focused group they released their second album, “The Art Of Perfection” in 2007 and their highest selling album to date “Three” in 2008. A-Club through the years physically grew as well adding Rhias to the roster in 2005, and Vo in 2007.
After the release of Three, the members of A-Club began creating sub-groups that have also received accolades from the public. These groups include the North Carolina group LIQUID SUN, (J-Smizz, Skhyzo, Vo) who are currently making a big name for themselves in North Carolina and THE LOGISTICS (Poetic THC & Nomad) who are on their way to creating one of the most anticipated albums in the A-Club discography. The members of A-Club are also talented solo artists as well with two of the members (J-Smizz with “Welcome To Smizzleville” & Rhias with “Cafe Keep It Real…”) releasing their own well received solo albums in early 2008.
A-Club has performed all over the Denver Metro area, doing shows at such venues as the Rock & Roll Grill, The Marquis Theater, Mercury Cafe, Hi-Dive and The Roxy and has even headlined their own show at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom. They also have plans in the works for shows in North Carolina and elsewhere. In addition to performing as a group, they have also performed with other well known Colorado acts such as For Love Of Ivy, and Observatory and opened for Universal recording artist, The Flobots. They have been praised for both their stage presence and lyrical performance and promise to give the audience something that they can enjoy watching as well as listen to.
A-Club is currently working on their fourth album (Title TBA) which is tentatively set to be released in 2009. A-Club promises to continue giving their listeners true Hip Hop music: full of energy, exuberance and commitment to their craft, and to what they as artists, and performers, love.
