Able Archer is an inventive modern rock act that lifted its name from a 1983 NATO war exercise/simulation. The Denver, Colorado-based quartet formed in the summer of 2007 when guitarist, Chad Lindburg; bassist, Chris Callaway and drummer, Mike Becker, decided to seek a new musical experience after six years of performing together in various incarnations. The trio recruited vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Matt Huseman, formerly of Sire Records’ The Greenberry Woods and indie rockers Splitsville, and started performing soon after.

“Able Archer plays modern rock that would be at home on most Clear Channel radio stations, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s nice to hear a local band that isn’t only aiming for college radio airwaves. Lead singer Matt Huseman has a voice that’s both melodic and passionate in a contemplative way, and fellow band members Chad Lindburg, Chris Callaway and Mike Becker find out interesting ways to subvert the modern rock genre.”
