Tony Lucca Summer Tour

Read a personal letter from Tony to his fans.

July 13 marked the release of my 6th full-length studio record. crazy. when I was young I used to mow lawns for money. I’d save up my dough and then go to our local record store, Harmony House, and pick up whatever vinyl I was wanting to listen to. I remember taking it home, peeling off the shrink wrap, taking the record out of the sleeve, setting it carefully on the turn table, placing the needle gently on the edge, right there at side one, song one, slowly turning the gigantic volume knob and then losing myself to whatever came through the speakers. I remember staring at the 2 or sometimes 4 panels of packaging, trying to decipher every last ounce of meaning from the artwork, as though there were clues that only ‘true’ fans of the music could ever possibly discover. it was then that I would say my so-called ‘dream’ was realized: when I grew up, I was going to make records!

Here I am, 25 years later, clearly ‘living the dream.’ so much has transpired in all those years that has allowed me to continue to do what I always dreamed of doing, not the least of which was finding people that actually wanted to hear what it was I had to say. actual fans. people who would decide to support my work and then continue supporting it through the years, through the evolution, the little victories, the time away. to say it’s a dream almost doesn’t really convey just how surreal it all begins to feel after awhile. I truly have one of the greatest jobs in the world because I have some of the greatest supporters in the world. true fans, friends, a family of encouragement and inspiration.

I wanted to take the time to say thank you, once again, for taking interest in my work. for listening and sharing and helping my music thrive. I really hope you enjoy the new record.

thanks,
Tony
